Examines selected health issues and their physical and emotional effects on women. Topics include: body image, eating disorders, reproductive life, sexually transmitted infections, violence, menopause, cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and the politics of women’s health.

Prerequisite: Placement into WR 115 (or higher), or completion of WR 090 (or higher) with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
