CJ 263 - Law Enforcement Related Experience 3

Credit Hours: 3

Introduces new skills and practical application of oleoresin-capsicum (OC), baton, tactical knife, taser, and Multiple Interactive Laser Options (MILO) firearms in order to function safely and effectively as an integral member of a law enforcement team and successfully pass testing for Oregon Physical Abilities Test (ORPAT). Includes information on Oregon Senate Bill 111 (officer-involved shooting(s) protocols), surviving traumatic incidents, family dynamics, death notifications, and use of various recovery services.

Prerequisite: CJ 262  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
