DRF 240 Architectural Drafting 2

Covers advanced architectural drafting techniques and methods. Incorporates a full set of working drawings, shear wall designs, advanced construction details, building process, current building codes used in residential buildings. Uses AutoCAD to draft a full set of construction drawings.

Prerequisite: DRF 150  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Develop a complete set of multi-level residential working drawings. 
  2. Develop proficiency in the plan submittal. 
  3. Produce details for shear walls, stairs, and engineered components. 
  4. Apply current architectural drawing procedures and symbols. 
  5. Apply advanced technology in the building process to drawings. 
  6. Design complex roof systems. 
  7. Apply local building codes and ordinances. 
  8. Produce site map.
