DRF 245 Civil Drafting and Design

Introduces AutoCAD Land Development Desktop. Develops residential subdivision and typical utility design documentation.

Prerequisite: DRF 132 and DRF 155, each with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:

Use CAD-based design software in the development of civil documentation.
Produce base design sheets at multiple scales as part of the civil design process.
Prepare review-ready documentation associated with a typical residential subdivision.
Demonstrate control of text, symbols and line weights on a plotted drawing set.

Interpolation of a surveyor’s data file
Development of electronic design base
Plotting multiple views and multiple scales associated with a project base
Preparation and plotting of a drawing set based on a residential project
