Continues the use of vector graphic software Adobe Illustrator. Includes practical instruction in advanced tools, layers, colors, visual effects, symbols, and output.

Prerequisite: VC 139  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Use illustration software for creating more complex graphics.
  2. Render accurate black and white line art with technical accuracy.
  3. Produce color graphics with multiple layers.
  4. Work with transparency and effects.
  5. Work with color palettes in different output modes.
  6. Organize work in multiple layers.
  7. Produce original illustrations with Illustrator.
  8. Prepare files for digital output.
