VC 140 Illustrator 2 Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 2
Continues the use of vector graphic software Adobe Illustrator. Includes practical instruction in advanced tools, layers, colors, visual effects, symbols, and output.
Prerequisite: VC 139 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Use illustration software for creating more complex graphics.
- Render accurate black and white line art with technical accuracy.
- Produce color graphics with multiple layers.
- Work with transparency and effects.
- Work with color palettes in different output modes.
- Organize work in multiple layers.
- Produce original illustrations with Illustrator.
- Prepare files for digital output.
