APR 290D Apprenticeship in the CPL Trades Lab Hours: 891 Credits: 27
Gained through structured on-the-job training. Apprentices will be awarded credit based on the assessment of their knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fabrication, installation, and/or layout in blueprints as evidenced by the award of Journey Status awarded by the Bureau of Labor and Industries. Follows the state and Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) standards, supervised by a Journey-level trade professional and reported to the Coordinator at the end of each month. Awarded only after the apprentice has completed all coursework required for the designated Associate of Applied Science degree and the local JATC has completed the apprentice from the program. A completion card and/or state required license specific to the trade must be presented at the time credit is awarded.
