PE 185DM Group Exercise, Beginning Lab Hours: 3 Credits: 1
Increases cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance or flexibility, and overall health. Incorporates a combination of step, cardio kickboxing or dance routines, strengthening exercises, Pilates and/or stretching activities. Supports incorporating exercise into a lifestyle.
Student Learning Outcomes: Beginning
- Perform basic exercise movements.
- Participate in a consistent exercise schedule.
- Determine intensity by measuring individual heart rate and target zone or rate of perceived exertion.
- Monitor individual physical intensity and progress.
