ANES 130 ACLS/PALS with EKG Analysis Lecture Hours: 4 Credits: 4
Enhance skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card. Enables Anesthesia Technology students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children.
Corequisite: ANES 105 and ANES 102 . Student Learning Outcomes:
- Describe various emergent/urgent medical situations
- Applies the knowledge and skills to deploy life-saving interventions
- Demonstrate use of clinical interventions for treatment of life threatening medical emergencies.
- Differentiate between the various types of airway equipment used in the difficult airway cart.
- Differentiate between the various types of medications used in the urgent/emergent medical situations.
