APR 158C Plumber Apprenticeship Pipe Sizing Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Continues related training for the plumber apprentice to study theory and trade practices. Includes mathematics, installation practices, related 2017 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC), health and safety, blueprint reading, and gas piping.
Prerequisite: APR 158B with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Read and interpret OPSC.
- Identify plumbing residential installation standards in the uniform plumbing code.
- Interpret standards for use of fixtures, pipe sizes, and offsets in the uniform plumbing code.
- Answer plumbing related math problems.
- Demonstrate health and safety practices.
- Interpret accessibility rules and laws related to plumbing.
- Interpret basic blueprints.
