APR 253H Electrician Apprenticeship Motors and Controls Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Offers training for the inside wire electrical apprentice. Includes motors, generators, controls, safety, and applicable Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.
Prerequisite: APR 253G with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Apply the theory and techniques of the trade.
- Identify the skills required at their level of apprenticeship.
- Interpret and apply the applicable section of the National Electrical Code as required for a license.
- Describe and perform the technical skills required of a journeyman inside wire electrician.
