APR 253J Electrician Apprenticeship-Math and Test Equipment Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Offers training for the inside wire electrician apprentice. Includes trade history, safety and first aid, blueprint reading, commercial and residential calculations, wiring methods, related theory, and applicable Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.
Prerequisite: APR 253I with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Explain Ohm’s Law and voltage drop.
- Practice safety standards.
- Read blueprints related to wiring methods.
- Perform commercial and residential calculations.
- Utilize pertinent Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.
