APR 253L Electrician Apprenticeship-Code and Test Prep Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Covers a thorough review of the Oregon Electrical Specialty Code for the Inside Wire Electrician Apprentice. Includes theory and application of motor controls, special termination, layout, hazardous locations, and transformer locations.
Prerequisite: APR 253K with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Explain, interpret and apply National Electrical Codes to meet inside wiring standards.
- Take the state-mandated exam for general journey-level electricians
