APR 256I HVAC/R Apprenticeship-Intermediate 6 Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Focuses on identifying variable refrigerant flow, hydronic and steam heating systems; troubleshooting retail refrigeration systems; and the importance of appropriate customer relation skills. Designed for Oregon State recognized apprentices working in the HVAC/R trade.
Prerequisite: APR 256H with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Recognize a variable refrigerant flow system.
- Identify commercial hydronic and steam heating systems.
- Troubleshoot retail refrigeration systems.
- Demonstrate appropriate customer relations skills.
