APR 258L Plumber Apprenticeship-Code and Test Preparation Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Covers theory and trade practices for plumber apprentices. Focuses on installation of waste systems, hydraulic theory, isometrics, and related 2017 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC).
Prerequisite: APR 258K with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Explain installation of waste systems, protection of water supply, assembly of breaker valves and heating systems.
- Relate hydraulic theory to plumbing maintenance.
- Draw isometrics of systems and special components.
- Interpret and apply knowledge of the OPSC to meet state standards in order to pass the Oregon licensing exam.
