APR 266G Sheet Metal Apprenticeship-Triangulation and Fiberglass Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Presents related training material consistent with the minimum skill requirements of the sheet metal trade. Includes fabrication, assembly and design of various architectural and general sheet metal tasks.
Prerequisite: APR 266F with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Explain the components of stainless steel.
- Fabricate and install architectural and general sheet metal products.
- Fabricate and assemble samples using stainless steel and sheet metal components.
- Describe material characteristics, tools, and procedures for layout and fabrication of fittings.
- Apply appropriate formulas to mathematical situations
- Demonstrate the proper care, use and storage of hand and power tools
- Utilize recognized standard building codes guidelines as applicable
