APR 266K Sheetmetal Apprenticeship-Job Site Management Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Presents related training material consistent with the minimum skill requirements of the sheet metal trade. Includes: job site organization, time management, goal setting, dispute and/or conflict resolution, organizational techniques, and goals.
Prerequisite: APR 266J with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Organize a job site crew to most effectively achieve completion of a given project.
- Establish an operating routine for work site crews.
- Develop a record keeping process for site-specific projects.
- Utilize contract documents and specifications to foresee job site conflicts and resolve them. Utilize recognized standard building codes guidelines as applicable. Read and interpret building plans and drawings.
- Interpret contract documents, prints, specifications and AIA forms.
- Schedule and coordinate with other trades on job sites.
