AUM 277 Electronic Vehicle Controls 1 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 6 Credits: 5
Emphasizes testing, diagnosis, and the theory of automotive electrical and electronic systems. Includes computer-controlled systems and sub-systems, networks, and diagnostic equipment.
Prerequisite: AUM 161 and AUM 176 , each with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the purpose and operation of automotive computer-controlled systems.
- Identify and describe the operation of individual inputs and outputs in computer controlled systems.
- Use automotive scan tools and lab scopes in accordance with industry standards.
- Retrieve codes and interpret data stream information from automotive computers.
