BLD 255 Building Department Administration 2 Lecture Hours: 4 Credits: 4
Discusses building department administration roles and responsibilities. Examines laws and principles that affect building department records management, budgeting, information technology, and legal aspects.
Prerequisite: BLD 155 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Use various building department record keeping systems.
- Define legal terms that relate to code enforcement.
- Analyze Oregon law related to code enforcement.
- Explain how the Oregon court system relates to building department procedures.
- Identify building department resources available through the department’s budget.
- Identify technology used in inspections, plan review, and department administration.
