CAM 050 Orientation to Manufacturing Processes

Provides basic knowledge of various manufacturing processes and materials. Covers processes involving hand tools, machine tools, measuring, inspection, and blueprints. Includes manufacturing procedures. Provides knowledge of industry standard roles in a manufacturing setting.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Analyze and discuss current manufacturing processes.
  2. Interpret and evaluate blueprints and specifications to determine accuracy.
  3. Apply workplace rules and safety and environmental standards used in the workplace.
  4. Identify and use measurement instruments to produce a product.
  5. Review relationships that guide and affect human interactions within the manufacturing industry.
  6. Construct a product using industry acceptable manufacturing principles.
