CAM 100 Blueprint Reading and Sketching

Provides instruction and skill development in engineering print reading, sketching, basic drawing techniques, and geometric constructions.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify lines and views by their positions on the drawing.
  2. Explain three-dimensional representation (pictorial views) and apply them to orthographic drawings.
  3. Apply sketching skills to projects.
  4. Apply of sectional and auxiliary views in sketching
  5. Describe the application of assembly drawings.
  6. Interpret various specifications and callouts pertaining to machining operations.
  7. Explain and carry-out geometric construction practices.
  8. Practice industrial accepted positive work ethics and habits to include teamwork, honesty, responsibility, punctuality, attendance, personal appearance, cooperation, positive attitude, and effective interaction skills.
