Details the joint responsibility of the company and employee in complying with federal and state safety regulations pertaining to business and industry and basic first-aid training.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Explain the application of ergonomics in a safe work environment.
  2. Develop lockout and tagout procedures for the control of hazardous energy.
  3. Identify and describe the basic components of maintaining a safe work environment. 
  4. Select industry-approved personal protective equipment for use in the workplace. 
  5. Explain and apply the purpose of a SDS form.
  6. Identify safe practices used in lifting or transporting objects. 
  7. Discuss the shared responsibility of employee and employer in maintaining a safe work environment.
