CAM 295 Introduction to Lean Manufacturing Lecture Hours: 1 Credits: 1
Introduces Lean concepts and practices present in todayís highly advanced manufacturing facilities.
Prerequisite: Second-year standing in the CAD/CAM degree program; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of lean practices, sustainability, Six Sigma, and “Just in Time” manufacturing.
- Apply critical thinking from an industrial shop perspective for implementing Lean concepts.
- Use decision-making skills for individual and collaborative projects.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Apply and understand creativity and critical analysis through working projects.
- Recognize people management issues and work with diverse personalities for success.
