DRF 140 3-D Modeling with AutoDesk Inventor Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Uses AutoDesk Inventor as an introduction to 3-D modeling. Covers fundamentals of graphics communication. Includes multi-view drawings, dimensioning, section views, auxiliary views and descriptive geometry concepts.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Construct solid models from drafting views, sketches and measurements provided.
- Perform geometric construction operations.
- Produce orthographic, isometric, section, auxiliary and detail views.
- Apply dimensions and notation based on ANSI standards.
- Generate views providing true length, true shape, and true angle.
- Develop flat patterns of thin-walled parts.
- Generate assembly models, exploded views and assembly drawings.
