DRF 165 CAD System Administration Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Covers customizing parameters for maximizing AutoCAD. Includes researching and installing custom programs for optimizing drawing performance. Also covers creating custom menu systems for specific applications.
Prerequisite: DRF 131 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Download custom programs, fonts, and hatch patterns from the Internet.
- Load applications via AutoCAD.
- Develop macros and menus for specific AutoCAD routines.
- Present and display custom programs.
- Set up operating parameters on a local CAD system area network for plotting.
