DRF 246 Project Development Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 6 Credits: 3
Covers advanced elements of residential subdivision design and layout with associated utility work based on a theoretical set of municipal standards and specifications. Incorporates preparation of all design documentation in review-ready condition.
Prerequisite: DRF 245 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Use current computer software and hardware to develop and draft a design project.
- Produce a preliminary drawing of a subdivision using a computer.
- Prepare a complete set of construction notes and specifications.
- Produce a vicinity map using a computer.
- Produce a contour drawing from data obtained from survey fieldwork.
- Prepare a complete set of residential subdivision construction documents.
