DRF 272 Commercial Drafting with Revit Software 2 Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 9 Credits: 4
Presents creation of site plan, and add ceilings, structural, and HVAC systems to the architectural model created in DRF 271 . Covers an introduction to building systems, and coordination required between disciplines, as well as Revit software. Second course in a three-term commercial drafting sequence using Revit software.
Prerequisite: DRF 271 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Incorporate site survey data into Revit project.
- Describe parking lot requirements and restrictions including stall calculations, accessibility and storm water detention.
- Explain coordination process required between project consultants.
- Draw basic structural components using Revit software.
- Distinguish between suspended and non-suspended ceilings, describe advantages of each. Create reflected ceiling plan using Revit software.
- Describe basic Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning components by adding HVAC system to Revit project.
- Import spreadsheet, pdf or document files into Revit software.
