ECE 161 Infant and Toddler Practicum Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 6 Credits: 3
Provides experience working with infants and toddlers in a community with a professional teacher. Will observe and practice high-quality care.
Prerequisite: HDF 249 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Perform the role of an infant and toddler aide.
- Provide an historical overview of early childhood education.
- Use communication techniques to work cooperatively and effectively with others in the child care setting.
- Meet children’s needs and supervise children and their activities.
