FRP 288 Fire Prevention Education Programs

Uses fire data to analyze the prevention needs in a community and to design a public fire education program directed to preventing or mitigating certain fires in that community.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Gather data to identify major local fire problems. 
  2. Design potential fire prevention public education activities to mitigate the effects of those fire problems. 
  3. Evaluate community resources to select cost-effective objectives for a public fire education program. 
  4. Design and develop public education educational program materials. 
  5. Implement the public fire education plan. 
  6. Assess the impact of the public education program and modify the program as necessary.
