FRP 288 Fire Prevention Education Programs Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Uses fire data to analyze the prevention needs in a community and to design a public fire education program directed to preventing or mitigating certain fires in that community.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Gather data to identify major local fire problems.
- Design potential fire prevention public education activities to mitigate the effects of those fire problems.
- Evaluate community resources to select cost-effective objectives for a public fire education program.
- Design and develop public education educational program materials.
- Implement the public fire education plan.
- Assess the impact of the public education program and modify the program as necessary.
