HTM 114 Travel Destination Geography

Focuses primarily on the tourism attributes of geographical areas of North America, with a brief look at the other major tourism destinations on Earth. Provides in-depth geographical and tourism-related information on the countries emphasized.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Interpret and discuss the major sights and tourism/business attractions of each area. 
  2. Compare the characteristics of a geographic region to formulate destination options for travel clients. 
  3. Plan an independent tour itinerary in Oregon. 
  4. Apply rules and regulations regarding required travel documentation. 
  5. Locate various countries, regions, and cities on a map.
