PE 185CB Conditioning, Intermediate

Offers a conditioning program designed to complement individual interests, needs, and goals. May improve some or all of the areas of physical fitness: cardiovascular, muscular, body composition, and flexibility.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Beginning 

  1. Define individual fitness goals and limitations. 
  2. Identify requirements for fitness in the areas of cardiorespiratory muscular, body composition, and flexibility. 
  3. Define and discuss the benefits of aerobic exercise. 
  4. Keep a written documentation of a personal conditioning program. 
  5. Practice full participation in workout program. 
  6. Define target zone and find individual heart rate when exercising and at rest. 
  7. Identify areas of improvement through pre- and post-evaluations. 
  8. Identify and correctly perform at least six strength exercises. 

Intermediate 

  1. Peform all outcomes of a beginning conditioning program. 
  2. Develop an individual conditioning program to meet fitness goals. 
  3. Define body composition and identify ideals and methods to reduce body composition. 
  4. Identify at least four types of core strength and flexibility exercises.
