VC 286 Multimedia Arts Portfolio

Credits: 4

Serves as a capstone course for all students pursuing a Multimedia Arts degree in the Visual Communications program. Includes Portfolio Show preparations, personal résumés and branding, business, and the analysis and reworking of previous projects and the development of new projects to include in a digital portfolio or demo reel to assist students in getting started on a career path.

Prerequisite: Second-year standing in the Visual Communications program and consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
 

  1. Evaluate work and determine what will serve them in getting started on a career path.
  2. Design and implement a personal brand for entry into the workplace.
  3. Articulate own vision of personal goals, including career and creative process objectives.
  4. Organize a portfolio/demo reel of creative work that gives evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to begin a successful career in multimedia arts.
  5. Present, promote, and defend creative and technical work.
  6. Demonstrate personal and professional skills and workplace attitude.
