WLD 152 Intermediate Arc Welding Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 9 Credits: 5
Continues WLD 151 . Covers ferrous and nonferrous alloys and welding procedures. Includes demonstration and supervised practice of techniques on various metals applied in fabrication and repair concurrently with related information concerning the use and structure of these metals.
Prerequisite: WLD 151 with a grade of C or better; or consent of program chair. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Exercise all safety rules established by the Chemeketa Community College Welding Department.
- Weld ferrous and nonferrous metals with various sizes and types of electrodes.
- Demonstrate the ability to execute arc welds to industrial quality.

- Technical Aspects of Welding Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals with Various Sizes and Types of Electrodes through the Completion of Midterm and Final Exams and/or Written Reports
- Industrial Quality Welds Such as Fillet/Weave in Various Positions (Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead) on Material 1/8” and 5/32” Thick Using 6010, 6011, 7024 and 7018
