FRP 267 Shift and Station Operations 2

Introduces students to shift and station operations as it relates to second year students including leadership, responsibilities of student Captains and Apparatus Operators, coordination and cooperation with career staff assigned to Station 8, radio operations, incident response and management of unusual shift events.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate and understanding of leadership and development of a team.
  2. Define the roles of second year students including student Captain, Apparatus Operator and Senior Firefighter.
  3. Initiate meetings with career staff assigned to Station 8 to coordinate station and shift operations.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of engine response procedures
  5. Demonstrate and document management of unusual events that may occur on shift.
