FRP 167 Shift and Station Operations 1

Introduce students to shift and station operations within the fire program including policy and procedures. Allows the student to become familiar the daily routine and expectations while assigned to shift including orientation to the physical layout of the fire station and its operations and maintenance.

Student Learning Outcomes:
 

  1. Arrive to shift on time and prepared with all required uniform and PPE to participate in the assigned shift.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to complete assigned “house chores” (cleaning and maintenance of station facilities).
  3. Place accountability passport on assigned apparatus.
  4. Complete apparatus and equipment inventory checks for assigned apparatus.
  5. Demonstrate working knowledge of fire program policy and procedures.
