FRP 291 Fire Incident Related Experience 4 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 4 Credits: 4
Provides continued practicum of NFPA Firefighter I skill set. Participates with program instructional staff in assisting with new student firefighter training during their Entry level firefighter academy, will participate in evolution-based training that ties together firefighter skills, identify different leadership styles, understand formal and informal leadership, and produce a written cover letter and resume in preparation for entry into the job market.
Prerequisite: FRP 193 with “C” or better Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate continued proficiency in NFPA Firefighter I skill set.
- Coordinate team(s) of firefighter(s) performing skills in an operational drill setting.
- Demonstrate positive leadership either informal, formal or both during drill and shift operations
- Produce a cover letter and resume that outlines current qualifications for employment in the fire service industry.
