VC 116 Introduction to Digital Multimedia Lecture Hours: 22 Lab Hours: 44 Credits: 4
Introduces students to video, audio, and motion graphics software for multimedia artists. Includes instruction in professional software used in video editing, sound manipulation, and 2D and 3D motion graphics.
Prerequisite: VC 114 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Differential Fee Yes Student Learning Outcomes:
- Select and use video, sound, and motion graphics software based on the criteria for given tasks.
- Produce work using a combination of video, sound, 2D animation, and 3D software.
- Render and export using the industry standard format and resolution for given media.
- Create deliverable files that conform to current professional technical standards.
- Organize, save, retrieve and export files for both publishing and collaborative creative pipelines.
- Devolve strategies for project planning, implementation, and delivery
