This certificate meets the needs of high school CTE  teachers on restricted or temporary licenses by offering the coursework that meets TSPC requirements to move up to a preliminary teaching license. 

Program Outcomes

Students completing this certificate should be able to satisfy the following outcomes:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of  the elements of CTE programs and how they meet unique school district needs. (this includes understanding the history of CTE programs in the US and Oregon). 
2. Explain examples of CTE programs of study in Oregon. 
3. Identify the ethics and responsibilities of CTE teachers in Oregon that are upheld to obtain a teaching license.
4. Demonstrate understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices that integrate social justice and promote social mobility. 

You may earn a certificate of completion by successfully completing the required 18 credit hours with a grade of “C” or better in all courses.
