Data Science Pathway
Recommended sequence of courses for students planning to transfer in this major. These courses fulfill all requirements for the AAOT degree. Students should meet with an advisor for an individualized program of study. Students should also meet with an advisor at the institution they wish to transfer to as soon as possible for the best transfer experience.
Students interested in completing a four year degree in Data Science can begin that program at Chemeketa and then transfer to a university to complete that degree. There are differences in the programs at the different universities. Students should plan to work closely with a faculty member teaching Data Science to make sure they are properly preparing for the data science program they plan to transfer into.

Oregon Institute of Technology offers a degree in Data Science
Oregon State University offers a data science focus with their Computer Science major.
Willamette University offers a degree in Data Science
Again, each university’s degree is unique, so students need to work with an advisor to make sure any particular needs for that program are being met by their coursework at Chemeketa.
