Covers basic architectural drafting techniques and methods. Includes dimensioning, layout, symbols and conventional construction methods used in residential buildings. Uses AutoCAD to draft a partial set of construction drawings.

Prerequisite: DRF 131 with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:

Draw a partial set of residential working drawings consisting of floor plan(s), elevations, foundation plan, cross-section, roof plan and electrical plan.
Apply current architectural drafting procedures and symbols to drawings.
Apply local building codes and ordinances to construction drawings.
Use building construction and architectural vocabulary in communicating drafting concepts.
Relate the building process to basic architectural drawings.
Complete drawings using current AutoCAD.
