BH 170 Introduction to Practicum Lecture Hours: 1 Credits: 1
Provides the background and specific skills needed to select and succeed in Behavioral Health practicum placement and future employment.
Prerequisite: Completion of BH 150 with a grade of C or better; admitted to Behavioral Health program; or consent of instructor. Recommended: BH 203
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the purpose of a practicum as it relates to the behavioral health field.
- Articulate interests, values, and limits as they relate to practicum and career goals.
- Write objectives in measurable terms to assess progress at practicum sites.
- Develop a resume, cover letter, job search skills, and interview techniques to support behavioral health practicum placement.
