WLD 169 Introduction to Plasma Cutting

This course provides an introduction to Plasma table use, setup, and safe operation for the production of metal forms and parts.  

Prerequisite: Completion of CA 100  with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate proficiency in operating plasma cutting machines, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  2. Describe how to select and handle various materials suitable for plasma cutting.
  3. Use safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  4. Plan and execute cutting projects from start to finish, including design, setup, and final adjustments.
