Explores quantitative problem solving with rational numbers. Introduces ratios, proportions, measures of central tendency, and probability.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Solve problems using rational numbers.
  2. Compute unit rates.
  3. Interpret unit rates as the slope in a proportional relationship.
  4. Solve problems and multi-step problem including ratios and proportions.
  5. Solve multi-step problems involving percentages.
  6. Use scale factors to determine the magnitude of a size change.
  7. Calculate the median, mode, range and weighted average.
  8. Calculate a missing data value, given the average and all the missing data values but one.
  9. Determine the probability of simple and compound events.
