Provides an introductory field experience focused on observing learning environments, student interactions, and community contexts that influence education. Emphasizes understanding child development, social-emotional learning, and exceptionalities through real-world observation and reflection. Explores how schools connect with families and communities to support belonging, equity, and active engagement in learning.

Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education Program, or instructor approval.
