Examines the intersection of culture, language, and identity in diverse classroom settings. Focuses on evidence-based strategies for supporting multilingual learners through inclusive, equitable, and socially responsive teaching. Integrates social-emotional learning (SEL), culturally sustaining pedagogy, and assessment practices that honor students’ linguistic and cultural assets. Emphasizes educator reflection, collaboration, and professional growth to ensure that every learner feels seen, valued, and supported.

Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education Program, or instructor approval.
