SPED 482 Field Experience 5: Special Education Practicum

Provides an advanced practicum experience in special education settings, emphasizing individualized instruction, collaboration, and advocacy. Candidates apply knowledge of exceptionalities, IEP processes, and inclusive teaching to support students with disabilities in general and specialized environments. Focuses on data-informed instruction, co-teaching, and communication with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Note: Students complete 6 total credits across SPED 482 and/or ED 482 to meet the requirements of their preferred endorsement areas (Special Education, Multiple Subjects, or both).

Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education Program, or instructor approval.
