APR 153C Electrician Apprenticeship Measurements Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Provides training for the Inside Wire Electrician Apprentice. Covers mathematical formulas of equations, basic AC theory, use of test equipment, and applicable Oregon Electrical Specialty Code. Includes safety procedures.
Prerequisite: APR 153B with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Operate/use the different types of measuring instruments commonly used in the electrical field.
- Apply different types of batteries.
- Explain the concept of magnetic induction related to generators, motors, and transformers.
- Interconnect micro-electronic control schemes.
- Apply electrical code standards to inside electrical wiring.
