APR 153D Electrician Apprenticeship Theory Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Continues training for Inside Wire Electrical Apprentices. Includes requirements for wiring and installation of electrical devices, auxiliary gutters, raceways, fuses and over-current devices, wire devices, hazardous locations, busways, residential calculation, safety, and applicable Oregon Electrical Specialty Code.
Prerequisite: APR 153C with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Apply the theory and techniques of the trade to residential requirements and calculations.
- Relate to peers the skills required in print reading, specifications, installations, and hazardous locations.
- Interpret and apply the applicable section of the National Electrical Code to installations and calculations.
