APR 158D Plumber Apprenticeship Basic Installation Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 2 Credits: 5
Continues related training and trade practices for plumber apprentices. Includes installation and related 2017 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC), safety, rigging and hoisting, welding and brazing, and blueprint reading.
Prerequisite: APR 158C with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Explain installation practices applying to related IAPMO code/OPSC.
- Describe occupational safety and health standards in the plumbing trade.
- Explain back flow types and installation practices.
- Explain safe rigging and hoisting practices.
- Weld and braze joints according to trade standards.
- Read blueprints.
