AUM 282 Electronic Vehicle Controls 2

Provides advanced training in the operation and testing of automotive electronic control and alternative propulsion systems with emphasis on diagnostic approach and procedure.

Prerequisite: AUM 262 , AUM 263 , AUM 266 , and AUM 277 , each with a grade C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Use shop test equipment to analyze and diagnose electronic vehicle control systems.
  2. Use a logical progression for diagnoses of electronic vehicle control systems.
  3. Describe the theory and operation of Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
  4. Use industry standard safety procedures associated with high voltage systems. 
  5. Disable high voltage systems on hybrid electric vehicle.
