AUM 282 Electronic Vehicle Controls 2 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 5 Credits: 5
Provides advanced training in the operation and testing of automotive electronic control and alternative propulsion systems with emphasis on diagnostic approach and procedure.
Prerequisite: AUM 262 , AUM 263 , AUM 266 , and AUM 277 , each with a grade C or better; or consent of instructor. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Use shop test equipment to analyze and diagnose electronic vehicle control systems.
- Use a logical progression for diagnoses of electronic vehicle control systems.
- Describe the theory and operation of Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
- Use industry standard safety procedures associated with high voltage systems.
- Disable high voltage systems on hybrid electric vehicle.
