BA 290 Accounting Information Systems

Prepares students to meet the needs of contemporary business professionals to identify and monitor enterprise risks and to provide quality assurance for a company’s information systems.

Prerequisite: CIS 101  or CIS 120  (or concurrently enrolled); and BA 211Z  (or concurrently enrolled) both with a grade of C or better; or consent of instructor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify the attributes and technologies of an accounting information systems. 
  2. Describe and document business processes for effective and efficient business operations. 
  3. Identify internal controls applicable to mitigating business system risks.
